For many of us here in Central Oregon, it has been a very long winter. Record snowfall and icy temperatures can wear on the spirit and body. I found myself jumping for joy this week when the very first yellow crocus flower appeared in my backyard. I dusted off my flip flops and realized my cozy, warm winter clothes had been protecting my dehydrated winter skin all season. Every spring, I like to remove the winter skin with hydrating spa treatments that prepare my skin for the warm weather ahead. Our spring spa specials are designed to inspire you, rejuvenate you and uplift you. Pink grapefruit is the perfect uplifting scent for the season.
Our warm oil massage and grapefruit scrub was inspired by services I received from Southeast Asia. The benefit of beginning with a hydrating oil massage not only relaxes you, but it softens the top layer of skin, known as the epidermis. The moisturized epidermis will then slough away more effectively. Our bright and refreshing pink grapefruit scrub is that much more effective when it is combined with rigorous exfoliation techniques that buff the body clean.
"April showers bring May flowers" is a common slogan used to celebrate spring, and what better way to rejoice than with a Vichy shower?! A Vichy shower is the ultimate rainforest shower experience. Melt away tension and the remaining pink grapefruit scrub under seven shower heads that drench the body in soothing warm water. A pillar of any great hydrotherapy service is the use of contrast showers. Our Vichy shower continues to rinse while a cool handheld shower head focuses on lymphatic drainage sites. This leaves the body detoxified and can also have a slimming effect.
This perfect service ends with a pink grapefruit body crème that reveals glowing skin ready to soak up the sun. Spring is my favorite time to exfoliate because the sun is moderate and will not damage freshly resurfaced skin.
Join us in celebrating spring and treat yourself to the wellness you deserve! See you at the Spa!
