You can’t beat this Valentine’s date night. Sunriver’s elegant eatery Carson’s American Kitchen serves up stellar cuisine year-round. But during the Month of Chocolate, things are taken to an altogether sweeter level. Over Valentine’s Day weekend, you can enjoy an exquisite dinner, featuring five chocolate-themed courses. Reservations are required for this always-popular (and very romantic) night out at Sunriver – don’t miss out!

Who says chocolate and fitness don’t mix? Join hundreds of fellow chocolate fanatics for the 8th Annual 5K Run/Walk for Chocolate. Strollers and dogs (on leash) are welcome. Hot chocolate, coffee, biscotti and other delights await you at the finish line, in addition to a snazzy Sunriver mug. Feeling competitive? First, second, and third place male and female finishers will win a one-night stay at Sunriver Resort. Good to know: There’s also a very fun kids’ race 1K following the main event.

The Oregon Wine & Cuisine Stroll is a crash course in virtually everything the state’s food and beverage scene has to offer. With your complementary commemorative wine glass in hand, you’ll nosh on creative bites crafted by Sunriver’s executive chef Travis Taylor. While you sample, you’ll enjoy live music from local favorite KC Flynn. It’s a perfect Sunriver afternoon.
The Chocolate Showcase
When: Saturday, February 23rd from 11am - 5pm
Where: The Abbot Room in the Main Lodge
A chocolate lover’s dream come true! At this free, open-to-the-public event, you’ll sample treats from Oregon’s best small-batch chocolatiers, including Lidia’s Chocolates and Temper and Mo Chocolates. You’ll also have the chance to check out other items that pair well with chocolate (what doesn’t pair well with Chocolate?!) — everything from spa products to candles to jewelry.
February food and drink offerings: All month long, enjoy chocolate drink specials at Twisted River Tavern, including such delectable libations as a Chocolate Martini and Mexican Cocoa. At Carson’s, there will be chocolate dessert specials nightly, as well as S’mores Belgian waffles during brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
